William Street’s experience includes: Director of Research and Education of the International Woodworkers of America, US, the largest US labour union representing forest and mill workers; Director of the Global Wood and Forestry Program for the International Federation of Builders and Woodworkers (now Builders and Woodworkers International), a global trade union federation; he is currently the Director of the Woodworkers Department of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, one of the largest industrial trade unions in North America..
In addition to his work in industrialized countries, Mr. Street has directed forestry projects in Ghana, Burkina Faso, Kenya, South Africa, Brazil, Chile, Indonesia, India, China, and Malaysia. He holds a Master of Science in Politics & Government from the University of Oregon and has written on poverty reduction and sustainable forestry.

Vice Chairmen
Robert S. Simpson is the Senior Vice President, Forestry Program, American Forest Foundation (AFF) and National Director of the American Tree Farm System, the oldest and largest third party forest certification system in the United States, with nearly 80,000 certified properties, totalling 35 million acres.

Antti Sahi is the Forest Director of the Finnish Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners (MTK). He is a representative of family forest owners in several national and international forest policy bodies and organisations. He is a graduate forester from the University of Helsinki.

Michael Proschek-Hauptmann is Managing Director of the Umweltdachverband, the umbrella organization for environmental NGOs in Austria. Previously, Mr. Proschek-Hauptmann served as EU Policy Coordinator in Brussels and Vienna. He also worked as Policy Officer at WWF Austria.

Sheam Satkuru is Director of the Malaysian Timber Council with responsibility for Europe. Sheam is a specialist in international trade with strong experience in legal and policy analysis relating to the timber and forest industries, communication and public relations.

Björn Andrén is a member of the PEFC Sweden Board of Directors. He is employed as MD of Holmen Skog AB and serves, among others, as the Chairman of the Forest Committee of the Swedish Forest Industries Federation, on the Skogforsk Board of Directors and on the Board of the Forest Faculty of SLU.

Hans Drielsma is Executive General Manager of Forestry Tasmania, the government owned business enterprise which manages Tasmania's State forests. A professional forester by training and Fellow of the Institute of Foresters of Australia, he is also a Director of Australian Forestry Standard Ltd.

Nathalie Hufnagel-Jovy draws from eight years of experience as Secretary General of the Confederation of European Forest Owners (CEPF) and is currently a on the Board of IFFA, the International Family Forest Alliance, and a Senior Policy Advisor to the Consortium of the German Forest Owner Associations.

Sébastien Genest is the Chairman of France Nature Environnement (FNE), the French National Federation of some 3,000 local and regional environmental NGOs. Sébastien is also on the Board of the National Office of Forests (ONF) and is a Director of PEFC France.

Pierre Grandadam is politically engaged as Mayor of Plaine (Bas-Rhine) and Chairman of the community of communes of Haute-Bruche. He draws from his expertise as Chairman of the Forestry Communes Association of Alsace and Moselle, and former Chairman and Vice Chairman of the European Federation of Forestry Communes.

Karen Brandt is the Vice President for Market Affairs of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). Before that she led the BC Market Outreach Network, an agency of the British Colombia Government. Ms Brandt's forest experience includes six years as Senior Manager with the BC Ministry of Forests.

William Luddy is Director for United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Labor-Management Education and Development Fund. Among other positions, he is also a trustee for Forest Products Industry National Labor Management Committee, former member of U.S. Department of Labour and Labour Advisory Committee on Trade Negotiations and Trade Policy.
