National Governing Bodies

National Governing Bodies (NGB) are the members of PEFC-Council.
At a national level, all interested parties are invited to participate in the NGB, which develops the national forest management standards and the national forest certification schemes.
These National Governing Bodies are represented on the PEFC Council by elected representatives who in turn elect the PEFC Council Board members.
The PEFC Council currently comprises 32 member countries i.e 32 National Governing Bodies.
