ISO/IEC Guide 61:1996 (EN 45 010:1998): General requirements for assessment and accreditation of certification/registration bodies

This International and European Standard specifies general requirements for a body to follow if it is to be recognised at a national or international level as conpetent and reliable in assessing and subsequently accrediting certification bodies or registration bodies. Conformity to the requirements of this standard will promote equivalence of national systems and faciliate agreements on mutual recognitions of accreditations between such bodies.
