Strengthening the PEFC Certification Framework

This report was one part of a review procedure established at the beginning of 2001 to look at improvements to the PEFC scheme. The report was prepared by an external consult based on experiences gained in the first three years of the PEFCC and criticisms levelled against the PEFCC. The consultants were also asked to evaluate the PEFC activities and structures. The report formed the basis of a thorough, one-and-a-half-year consultation and development process which resulted in substantial revision and updating of PEFC Council?s procedures and documentation at its General Assembly in November 2002.
