Austrian Forest Certification Scheme (2006)

The revised Austrian Forest Certification System described in the downloadable documents below was endorsed by the PEFC Council on 19 October 2006.

The PEFC Council had appointed Indufor Oy as independent consultant to carry out the assessment of the Austrian system against the PEFC Council requirements for forest certification schemes. The assessment report provided by the consultant created the basis for the PEFC Council's decision on the Austrian certification scheme's formal endorsement.

The Austrian scheme uses the PEFC International Chain of Custody standard (Annex 4 of the PEFC Technical Document) for the purposes of chain of custody certification.
