Revised German Forest Certification Scheme (2005)

The revised German Forest Certification System described in the downloadable documents below was endorsed by the PEFC Council on 6 December 2005.

The PEFC Council had appointed Indufor Oy as independent consultant to carry out the assessment of the German system against the PEFC Council requirements for forest certification schemes. The assessment report provided by the consultant created the basis for the PEFC Council's decision on the German certification scheme's formal endorsement.

The German scheme uses the PEFC International Chain of Custody standard (Annex 4 of the PEFC Technical Document) for the purposes of chain of custody certification.
