Norwegian Living Forest Standard and Certification Scheme

The Norwegian Living Forest Standards and Certification Scheme was endorsed by the PEFC Council on 28 February 2006 until 2008. It was re-endorsed on the condition that the accreditation for the Chain of Custody wood tracking system will be based on ISO Guide 65 (Product certification) within six months following the re-endorsement.

The PEFC Council had appointed Indufor Oy as independent consultant to carry out the assessment of the Norwegian system against the PEFC Council requirements for forest certification schemes. The assessment report provided by the consultant created the basis for the PEFC Council's decision on the Norwegian certification scheme's formal endorsement.
