Italian Poplar Standard endorsed by PEFC


PEFC Council:  The Italian Sustainable Poplar Plantation Management Standard has achieved PEFC endorsement as an additional and integral part of the previously endorsed Italian Forest Certification Scheme. The endorsement includes corresponding changes in the Italian Forest Certification Scheme. A thorough standards development process, detailed consultations with stakeholder groups of society and an independent assessment preceded this endorsement.

PEFC Council:  As a new service to the supply chain, customers and the market place, PEFC has developed and implemented a new search function on the status of all certificates listed on its database.

Uruguay joins PEFC


PEFC Council:  The Sociedad de Productores Forestales del Uruguay was unanimously accepted as a new national member of the PEFC Council for Uruguay at the PEFC Council General Assembly earlier this month.

Vacancy : PEFC Council Communications Director


PEFC Council:  The PEFC Council is currently undergoing a comprehensive strategic review which includes the development of a strategic communications plan. PEFC is seeking a Communications Director to assist in the development and implementation of this plan. Applicants must have at least 5 years experience in communications/marketing issues, preferably at international level, and must be fluent in both written and spoken English, the PEFC Council's working language.
