| Italian Poplar Standard endorsed by PEFC

| PEFC Council: The Italian Sustainable Poplar Plantation Management Standard has achieved PEFC endorsement as an additional and integral part of the previously endorsed Italian Forest Certification Scheme. The endorsement includes corresponding changes in the Italian Forest Certification Scheme. A thorough standards development process, detailed consultations with stakeholder groups of society and an independent assessment preceded this endorsement.

| PEFC Council: The PEFC Council is currently undergoing a comprehensive strategic review which includes the development of a strategic communications plan. PEFC is seeking a Communications Director to assist in the development and implementation of this plan. Applicants must have at least 5 years experience in communications/marketing issues, preferably at international level, and must be fluent in both written and spoken English, the PEFC Council's working language.
