2008/07/02 PEFC Council

PEFC invites stakeholders to participate in the revision of Chain of Custody standard, Logo Usage Rules (Deadline: 31 July 2008)

The PEFC Chain of Custody and the Logo Usage Rules, important elements of the PEFC certification scheme, are currently being revised. As part of its commitment to transparency and openness, and to gain insights and knowledge from its stakeholders, PEFC invites interested parties to contribute to the revisions. The deadline for submission is 31 July 2008.

The revision of the current PEFC Logo Usage Rules aims at ensuring that the needs of customers and consumers are met without affecting the robustness of the delivery of claims.

The revision of the current PEFC Chain of Custody standard is to accommodate and integrate the experience gained to date from the chain of custody certification.

Further information and complete documentation about the revision of the Chain-of-Custody standard and the Logo Usage Rules is available under PEFC Consultations.

Please submit your comments to the PEFC Council secretariat (c.kaemmer@pefc.org) . All comments will be reviewed and considered by the Chain of Custody and Labelling Task Force and Working Group. Deadline for submission is 31 July 2008.
