Federal Minister of Consumer Protection, Renate K?nast, pleads for the invention of a new label "Free of genetic engineering", reports the daily newspaper "Die Welt" on January 24th 2004 on the occasion of the presentation of the german bill with the result that the European Guidelines on the release of genetically modified organisms shall be implemented.
