Copenhagen Fashion Summit

Fashion event

Sustainable solutions for the fashion industry were the focus of the 10th Copenhagen Fashion Summit.

We were present at the Summit’s Innovation Forum, showcasing the enormous potential of responsibly sourced forest fibres for the fashion industry. As a special highlight of our stand, young and established designers presented their fantastic new designs – made from the forest!

New design highlights – certified

A partner in our Forests for Fashion initiative, Spanish designer María Lafuente launched a new collection made from PEFC-certified forest fibres.

Aspiring designers from Southeast Asia also presented their stunning garments, demonstrating the wide versatility of forest materials.

There is a high demand for sustainably sourced forest fibres throughout Asia, which we addressed at the China Hangzhou Cellulose Fiber (Viscose) Industry Forum last week.

Our stand invited people to see and touch the forest fabrics, which are softer and more breathable than cotton or silk.

We were delighted to welcome HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark at our stand to discuss the role of sustainably managed forests in the sustainable value chains of fashion and retail.

A sustainable future for the fashion industry

Copenhagen Fashion Summit is the world’s leading business event on sustainability in fashion, also referred to as the Davos of Fashion. Over two days, a range of presentations and panel discussions outlined potential new ways of increasing sustainability in the fashion industry.
