Chain of custody training
Auditors, reviewers and certification decision makers are invited to register for an online PEFC recognized chain of custody initial training on 6-7 August.
Attending a PEFC recognized chain of custody initial training is a pre-requisite for any auditor, reviewer or certification decision maker wishing to issue certification against the 2020 PEFC chain of custody related standards.
The training takes place online over two days: 6 August, 08:30-18:00 and 7 August, 09:00-18:00 (all times are in India Standard Time (IST)).

The training will be carried out by Richard Laity, PEFC International Technical Expert and Southeast Asia Representative, and is organized by the Network for Certification and Conservation of Forests (NCCF), our national member for India. The training will be carried out in English.
While the training is organized by our Indian member, auditors from outside India are also welcome to register, particularly those based in Southeast Asia. Representatives from accreditation bodies may also attend.
For participants based outside India, the training fee is 300 CHF. For participants located in India, the training fee is 24000 INR+GST. The deadline for registration and payment of the fee is 29 July.
Participants registering for the training should meet the following requirements:
- Trained in audit techniques based on ISO 19011
- Trained/qualified on ISO 9001/14001
- Performing audits for other/similar systems/timber legality, etc.
Following the training, participants will be required to complete an online knowledge test. Participants that pass the knowledge test will receive a certificate as proof of their participation in a PEFC chain of custody initial training.
