Organization information

PAFC Gabon is a not-for-profit association registered under Gabonese law. It is a member based organization made up of members divided into four colleges: the college of forest owners and rightful owners, the college of professionals, the social college and the environmental college.

Endorsement milestones

To maintain its PEFC endorsement, the system must meet specific endorsement milestones. The first milestone is the start of the periodic review within five years of the national approval of the sustainable forest management standard.

  • National approval date: 20 July 2013
  • Review date: TBC*

* The review date is linked to the approval date of the revised Sustainable Forest Management standard PEFC ST 1003 (expected 14 November 2018). Once the revised standard has been approved, a review date will be set and the periodic review of the system must be started before this date.
