Experience Forests Experience PEFC 2018

It’s back!! The 2018 PEFC Photo Contest has begun, and we can’t wait to see what amazing photos will be coming our way!

To enter is simple, check out to see if your country is taking part. Then head to Instagram and post your awesome forest photo using the contest hashtag – and that’s it, you’re done!

The deadline for entries is 5 June – World Environment Day.

Open to all!

From amateur to professional photographers, everybody is welcome to take part and share their experiences of our world’s wonderful forests.

And of course, forests offer us endless opportunities – from nature photography of breath-taking landscapes and beautiful trees and wildlife; to sports and action shots of mountain bikers, hikers, or paragliders; to documentary pictures showing the work of foresters, the life of rural communities, or traditions of indigenous peoples.

Get out into the forest and let your imagination run free!

PEFC Photographer of the Year Award

As well as getting the chance to win a fantastic national prize (like a weekend for two in a certified forest!), the best photos from all the national contests will enter the international contest and compete for the 2018 PEFC Photographer of the Year Award:

  • The winner will receive a trip to Geneva, Switzerland to attend the 2018 PEFC Forest Certification Week or a cash prize of 3000 CHF.
  • The top 12 photos will be publicly exhibited at the 2018 PEFC Forest Certification Week at the Movenpick Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland in November 2018 and potentially in other places around the world throughout 2018/2019.
  • The top 12 photos will be featured in the 2019 PEFC ‘Experience Forests, Experience PEFC’ photo calendar.

So what are you waiting for? Head to and enter your photo!
