Give your feedback on the new PEFC EUDR DDS standard module

Stakeholders globally are invited to give their feedback on the new PEFC EUDR DDS standard module. Deadline for comments is 7 May 2024.

We have developed this new PEFC EUDR Due Diligence System (DDS) to help our PEFC chain of custody certified organisations comply with their EUDR obligations.

This voluntary tool will be easily integrated within the current PEFC chain of custody processes, with companies deciding whether they implement the ST 2002 chain of custody DDS or replace it with the PEFC EUDR DDS, at product group level.

The PEFC EUDR roll out

Over the last months, we have made significant progress on our roadmap to EUDR alignment. An important aspect of this work is aligning our chain of custody standard with EUDR requirements, which has involved the development of the new PEFC EUDR DDS – and now we need your feedback. 

Public consultations are a vital part of the development process of our standards. They are when you get to read the draft, make your comments, and give direct feedback. Every comment made will get an answer.

The PEFC EUDR DDS

The PEFC EUDR DDS is built upon the existing chain of custody DDS. Our objective was to make the EUDR framework understandable for organisations to implement, benefitting from the synergies with our existing requirements.

Simplicity has been a key term during the development. Our aim has been to provide a system that is easily integrated within our current chain of custody processes in such a way that the organisation can take the module and implement it within a system they are already familiar with.
