Lamipak Indonesia has triumphed at the Packindo Star Awards 2025, securing the prestigious PEFC Forest-Positive Packaging Award in the commercial category for its PEFC-certified sustainable aseptic beverage packaging.

Organised by the Indonesian Packaging Federation (IPF), the Packindo Star Awards recognise excellence in packaging innovation across the nation. This inaugural PEFC Forest-Positive Packaging Award spotlights packaging solutions that make exemplary use of PEFC-certified materials, demonstrating a strong commitment to safeguarding forests, promoting sustainable sourcing and recyclability.

Lamipak Indonesia, a subsidiary of Lamipak Group, operates a state-of-the-art an eco-friendly manufacturing facility in Cikande, Serang - Banten, serving major dairy, beverage, and food brands across Indonesia and international markets. The company holds PEFC Chain of Custody certification, ensuring that the paperboard used in its aseptic packaging comes from sustainably managed forests in line with Indonesian Forestry Certification Cooperation (IFCC) and PEFC standards.

Lamipak’s award-winning packaging, LamiPure is fully recyclable, designed to reduce environmental impact while ensuring food safety and shelf stability.

“LamiPure represents the next generation of aseptic packaging,” said Pak Ahmad Rizalmi. “By removing the aluminium layer, we’ve made it more recyclable while ensuring that all fibre-based materials come from PEFC-certified sustainable forests. This reflects our strong commitment to protecting biodiversity, supporting forest communities, and promoting responsible forestry.”

“To ensure full transparency, LamiPure is produced under PEFC Chain of Custody certification, giving verifiable proof that every fibre originates from sustainably managed forests. Combined with our One Pack One Code system, stakeholders can trace each package across the entire value chain.”

Its supporting national recycling initiatives, Lamipak is advancing Indonesia’s transition toward a circular economy and helping brands meet their environmental commitments.

“At PEFC, we are committed to promoting sustainable practices throughout the forestry supply chain. Our sponsorship of this award at the Packindo Star Awards recognises and celebrates Indonesian companies leading the way in sustainable packaging. By choosing PEFC-certified materials, businesses ensure their packaging solutions have a positive environmental impact on the world’s forests,” said Wikkie Netten, Market Engagement Manager, PEFC Asia-Pacific.

The LamiPure packaging submitted by Lamipak embodies these principles, bringing together functionality, sustainability, traceability, and recyclability to set a new standard for forest-positive packaging solutions in Indonesia.
