PEFC Chain of Custody Auditor Training in India
6 February 2020 Training announcements
Auditors from around Southeast Asia are invited to join our Chain of Custody auditor training session in New Delhi, India.
The training takes place in April (the exact dates will be announced shortly). Sign up now!
The training costs USD 500/person (INR 36,000) for all three days. The price includes the field trip and online test, lunch, course material and a certificate of attendance. The training will be in English.
Trainees will be required to complete an online knowledge test after completion of the in-person training. Qualified trainees will receive a certificate as qualified PEFC Chain of Custody Auditors from PEFC International.
What to expect
Organized by PEFC and the Network for Certification and Conservation of Forests (NCCF), our national member for India, the two-day classroom training will present PEFC Chain of Custody certification, PEFC trademarks and the PEFC Due Diligence System (DDS).
PEFC Chain of Custody certification provides independently verified assurance that certified wood contained in a product originates from well-managed forests. PEFC DDS minimizes the risk that timber comes from illegal harvesting and enables companies to demonstrate alignment with regulatory requirements, such as EUTR.
The training will be given by Richard Laity, PEFC South East Asia Representative.
Why you should get training
PEFC Chain of Custody certification covers more than 20,000 companies, and certification bodies, auditors and certified companies around the world apply the PEFC Chain of Custody standard on a daily basis.
This enables the consistent application of the Chain of Custody requirements in daily practice, and allows us to exchange experiences with, and receive valuable feedback from auditors on the implementation of the standard.
Attending a PEFC-recognized training is also a precondition to become a qualified auditor.
Need to train several auditors
If you work for a certification body with a high number of auditors, the PEFC Training Recognition Program might be a more efficient way to receive the PEFC training. See how you can take part in the program.
