The PEFC Photo Contest is back – this year we look for the best of the best.

Over the last six years, thousands of photographs have been submitted to our national photo contests, and hundreds of national winners and finalists have entered the International contest.

Before today, our juries had the tricky job of choosing the winners. This year, the winning photo is in your hands - which is your favourite?

Cast your vote here

We have gone through our photos, picking out our past winners and some favourites of our jury. The result is a selection of amazing and truly inspiring images from all over the world, showing all types of forest and their different meanings and functions.

From gorgeous forest landscapes and work and sports in the forest to animals calling the forest their home, our 14 finalists have it all.

“The photos of this year’s contests are truly the best of the best. We love their diversity, and how they show the wonders of the world’s forests, each in their own way,” said Hannah Prins, PEFC International Communications Manager.

“We are excited to see which photo will be the public’s favourite and therefore the winner of our 2023 Photo Contest.”

While all deserve to win, there can only be one that gets the 500 CHF prize - and the decision is up to you.

Have a look and make your choice!

The finalists will be featured in the 2024 ‘Experience Forests, Experience PEFC’ photo calendar, on the PEFC International and our members’ websites, and potentially other places throughout the year.
