This December, we hear from Ruggero Alberti, a runner up in our 2018 ‘Experience Forests, Experience PEFC’ photo contest, who tells us more about his photo ‘The Enchanted Forest’.
Ruggero sent us a video from his “personal office”, a forest in the Province of Trento in Northern Italy.
“Since I was a child, I spent my summer days here, between streams and trees,” he says. “For me, the forest is a source of life and emotions.”
“My photo, like many other photos I take, came to me. The photo has searched for me, not the other way round. While I was walking through the fog, suddenly a small glimpse opened up and, like magic, this forest of autumn and golden larches materialized just in front of me,” he explains.
“A few seconds to shoot and… you saw the photo. It’s just an enchanted forest.”
