Wood is set to take the ‘Jaarbeurs Utrecht’ Exhibition Center by storm at the upcoming International BouwBeurs (Construction Fair), as eight organizations set up their very own Wood Pavilion.

Taking place from 9 to 13 February 2015 in Utrecht, Netherlands, the BouwBeurs Construction Fair will be the central place for activities of the wider ‘Week of Construction’.

The eight organizations responsible for the creation of The Wood Pavilion, including PEFC members PEFC Netherlands and the Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC), are uniting for a single cause: to inform the professional audience that wood is a high quality, reliable, flexible, multi-purpose, high-tech and environmentally-friendly construction material. That is why The Wood Pavilion has the name “Bouwen op Hout!” or “Trust in Wood!”.

The eight founders of The Wood Pavilion are all passionate about wood. During the tradeshow they will not only underline this with specific facts and actions, including a network reception on Thursday, they will also transfer the message to the construction professionals in terms of atmosphere and wood experience.

Alongside PEFC Netherlands and the Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC), the founders include a wood trade and sawmill Assinkhout, Scantimber/Nordlam Netherlands, Het Houtcollectief (wood collective), Malaysian Timber Council (MTC), Engeneering firm Evan Buytendijk and trade magazine Houtwereld (Wood World).

Interested in material of ‘pure nature’? You are most welcome at The Wood Pavilion in Hall 10, stand E011-E017 at the BouwBeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands!
