During renovation of Stockholm’s market hall, a temporary building using PEFC-certified timber became a new attraction. To meet all the given requirements, timber was the obvious choice. What was not foreseen was the hall’s tremendous popularity.

Little Finlandia: a multiuse wooden building embodying circular economy principles

Little Finlandia provides temporary facilities during the renovation of Finlandia Hall. After this, it can be dismantled and moved to another location for reuse as another temporary facility, such as a school or day-care centre.

Macquarie University Incubator: innovative working space combines sustainability and flexibility
Construction
Sustainability, flexibility, and a short construction time were key priorities in the development of the project. 105 m³ of PEFC-certified glulam and 2,500 m² solid wood panels were processed during a construction period of only a few months.
